Olympic Games Day 4
Today Campers travelled back in time to the 1980’s! From leg warmers to fingerless gloves, bright colors, and funky glasses, 80’s spirit could be found everywhere throughout camp!
Today campers could be found posing with their unique flags that they created on Tus day. Each unit created their own county that they will be competing for at our all camp Olympic games on Friday. Pink will be playing for Animal Land, Orange for Detective Orange, Yellow for Miniontopia, Blue for Waveland, Lavender for Lavendaria, and Purple for Grease.

Today at the Games Station units were introduced to, and practiced fun activities for the epic all team relay race on Friday. Some of the games they practiced were, cup stacking, balloon relay, and potato sack racing.
At Archery camper continued to shoot their arrows inching closer and closer to the bullseye each and every day. In fact we had 4 campers from the Blue Unit get a bullseye today.

At the craft hut the younger campers made an Olympic rings necklaces out of clay in honor of this year’s Olympic Games theme. The older campers made a hanging beaded Olympic Flag.
All the campers enjoyed cooling down in the river today. Some units worked together to build a little walled in pool area.
At Scout Skills campers went over pocket knife safety and skills, led by the dripped out 80’s Hummingbird!
We can not forget about our AMAZING COOKS! They could be found hard at work in the kitchen preparing burgers, hotdogs, watermelon, and chips for today’s lunch!
We ended our fun filled day with an epic all camp game of Link Tag. Over 70 campers and PA’s participated while some other PA’s squirted them with water blasters.

Today’s blog post and phots are brought to you by Tater tot, Otter, Moose, and Guppy.

After all the campers left today our amazing PA’s got to enjoy just being campers and stayed at camp for crafts, archery, ice cream making, dinner, and bonding time. It’s a lovely special time for our hard working PA’s.
