Olympic Games Day 3
Today was hot, sunny, and 100% beach coded with campers wearing sunglasses, leis, Hawaiian shirts and more, to immerse the camp in an all-beach theme.
Today in the game station, campers tested each others reaction times and skill to accomplish a game of Mastermind, and Tic-Tac-Toe with a twist! In Mastermind, campers used Gatorade bottle and attempted to match the Gatorade bottle to the ones being hidden behind a cardboard box. Additionally, campers played life-size Tic-Tac-Toe, using felt pieces to run and score three in a row.
In archery, campers continued to aim for the bullseye! They kept up their confidence and hit the targets.
Scout skills was all about shelter-building, tents, and the 10 Essentials today. Campers worked together to put up a tent, and were given a bag with the 10 Essentials to take home.
At the Crafts station, campers finger-knitted a bracelet that could fold out to make the shape of the Olympic Rings.
While all of the campers were having fun and learning new things, our cooks worked hard to prepare a delicious lunch (tacos) to help fuel us through the rest of the long, fun-filled day.
After lunch we helped celebrate 3 of our campers birthdays with some yummy popsicles.
We ended our day with an all camp water relay race. The campers enjoyed getting soaked while running with a cup dripping water on their heads. The Yellow group won the relay by having the most water after 2 minutes.
