Owls descended into the Renton Hills Day Camp today!
Owl Post
Our campers were able to make their own owl at the Owlery today, and then they made catapults to teach them to fly during flying lessons.
North by Northwest
In Scout Skills today, the campers learned about topographical maps and how to use a compass. A special wizard visited Hummingbird and gave her a code to crack, which led our young wizards on an adventure through camp, using their compasses to find bearings and crack the code.
Potent Defense
In the Defense Against the Dark Arts today, two of our Pink Pixies use their slingshots to strike their targets, emulating a hit with an arrow. Overall, there were five bullseyes from the older scouts across the day!.
Broomstick Brunch
One of our Orange Owls declared today’s lunch to be “The most amazing lunch ever!” The staff is inclined to agree. We feasted on pancakes, eggs, and sausage.
Girl Scout Cookies
Our Dark Blue Dragons honed their outdoor cooking skills today and made cookies in a box oven.
Field Games
Our day ended with games in the field. Today each unit competed to keep their Owl from touching the ground. Our Blue Dragons emerged victorious and were awarded 10 Unit Points!
